This is a reminder that all media must present government-issued photo I.D. (such as driver’s license) and valid media credentials for Thursday’s press conference with U.S. Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez and U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, 520 16th St. North.
The press conference is to begin at 11:15 a.m. Members of the media should enter the Civil Rights Institute at the Administration entrance on 6th Avenue and arrive by 10:45 a.m. Perez and Vance will discuss the federal government’s priority and commitment to civil rights enforcement in North Alabama.
I.D. and credentials also will be required at Miles College for Perez’s keynote address Thursday at 6 p.m. That event will be in Brown Hall on the Miles College campus, 5500 Myron Massey Blvd., Fairfield.
